NuttZo Energy Bites come together in minutes, are packed with nutrients, and make the perfect snack! These bite-sized, no-bake balls contain Omega-3 rich seeds, protein, and healthy fats. An amazing nutritious and delicious on-the-go snack!
Have you heard of NuttZo? It’s been around for a while, but I just discovered it this year. NuttZo is an organic mixed nut and seed butter that contains 7 different nuts and seeds. There are several different varieties. My favorite is the Power Fuel. It contains cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, and sea salt.
NuttZo was created by a mom, Danielle LiVolsi, who was trying to maximize vitamins, minerals, and protein for her two adopted sons that were extremely picky eaters. Genius idea!!!
Danielle also founded Project Left Behind, a non-profit organization that supports orphaned and neglected children around the world. Every sale of NuttZo supports Project Left Behind. This is not a sponsored post. Just loved this story, so thought I’d share.
The best part about these NuttZo Energy Bites is that you don’t have to add different nuts and seeds to the nut butter like most energy bites/protein balls, because they are already in the NuttZo butter.
Tammy’s Tips for Making NuttZo Engergy Bites
NuttZo – Pick your favorite. They are all packed with nutrients, some of which include Omega-3s, protein, fiber, and heart healthy fats. I used the Power Fuel Crunchy for this recipe.
Mix-Ins – Dried fruit, dark chocolate chips, coconut flakes, cinnamon, and/or pumpkin pie spice would be great additions to these bites.
Honey – The honey helps to bind the bites together. You could substitute pure maple syrup.
Storage – I like to store these in the freezer, but you could also store them in your fridge for up to 2 weeks. Of course, I’m sure they will not last that long. 😉
Protein Powder – I added a tablespoon of Just Ingredients Chocolate Protein Powder. It is hands down the BEST protein powder I have found. It tastes amazing, contains quality ingredients, and has 5 sources of protein. The protein powder it optional.
This recipe is very versatile. Don’t be afraid to make it your own by adjusting the sweetness and adding in some mix-ins.
