Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Homemade Whole Wheat Beer Bread contains just a few ingredients and has no refined sugar. It requires no yeast or rising time, so it's a quick and easy weeknight recipe!  Enjoy this moist and deliciously satisfying bread with your favorite fall and winter soups, stews, and chilis.

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 12 ounce beer


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9 inch loaf pan.

  2. In large mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour in syrup and beer. Mix until everything is combined and forms into a dough. (dough will be lumpy and moist)

  3. Transfer dough into prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Bake 50 - 60 minutes until top is golden brown and cooked through. Serve warm! Cheers!
